It originated in the early days of video
games due to the graphical limitations of
computers and consoles at the time. It is
characterized by simple graphics, limited color
palettes, and stylized shapes. Today, it is widely
used in indie games, retro-style illustrations, and
animations, being appreciated both for its nostalgic
aesthetic and its artistic complexity.
